It is an “Eau de Parfum” for women that is included in the Chypre Floral family. With this new launch, the firm intends to start a new line of fragrances parallel to 'CLASSIQUE' and 'LE MALE', its greatest hits in the perfumery sector, with a more fun, ironic and 'scandalous' touch.
This fragrance was launched in 2017 by perfumer Daphne Bugey, who has decided to leave aside the most intense aromas to introduce more refreshing nuances, thus addressing a more diverse audience. Daring and active girls, vital and energetic, and, why not? somewhat rebellious, in search of a scent with which to share everyday adventures and turn it into their own hallmark.
Its trail begins with a refreshing yet sweetened accord, made up of mandarin and blood orange. Next, its heart denotes femininity and shows us the most flirtatious side of the 'SCANDAL' girl, made up of jasmine, orange blossom, gardenia, peach and honey. Finally, its base reveals its sweetest and most playful side, thanks to notes such as caramel, licorice, patchouli and beeswax.
QUARTIER PIGALLE . The inspiration for 'SCANDAL' was born in this Parisian neighborhood. It is a very artistic neighborhood and one of the favorite places of Jean Paul Gaultier himself, where we can find a wide variety of literary cafes, painting studios, dance halls and cabarets. An infinite number of picturesque streets with a bohemian and chic air that give rise to the birth of this perfume.
'SCANDALOUS ADVERTISING . For publicity, the story will revolve around a 'political scandal'. The protagonist plays the role of a minister who stays up late until dawn in Parisian bars. However, when the first ray of sun appears she must return to her workplace and as if by magic she arrives impeccably perfect. A fun nod to the numerous scandals related to politics in which we currently live.
SEXY AND MODERN . Jean Paul Gaultier is a brand always wrapped in an incredible halo of sensuality and seduction, and with SCANDAL it reaffirms itself again. This fragrance describes a modern woman with weapons to seduce, devastate and become an overwhelming addiction.
It holds up well but doesn't completely satisfy me. I used Must de Cartier (perfume), which had become impossible to find and which I loved. I tried this one, but I like it less. On the other hand, it holds up much better. A matter of taste !
