In 1938, the Swiss chemistry student, Franz Greiter suffered from sun-stroke and skin burns while climbing the mountain
Piz Buin in the Alps. That made him think that there was nothing in the market to protect skin from the sun and after years of
research, in 1946 he launched the first sunscreen that received the mountain’s name. In 1975, he introduced the waterproof version. Today, it is the leader industry in sun care and after sun products for all skin types.
