Kouros by Yves Saint Laurent is an “Eau de Toilette” for men belonging to the smell of the fougère family. It is a creation inspired by the gods of ancient Greece and represents the strength and virility that characterized them. Burly men, willing to conquer and very fond of the cult of the body. This fragrance was created in 1981 by perfumer Pierre Bourdon. It all started with a trip designer Yves Saint Laurent to Greece, where he could know the most famous sculptures of Greek classicism. He called particular attention Kouros (which gave its name to the fragrance), an emblem of virility and Greek canons of beauty of the time, perfectly proportioned and defined muscles. It was at this point that he decided to honour this fascinating world with a perfume. Its aromas, all very special, create a unique combination, intended to evoke the natural smell of a man using unique ingredients such as artemisia, coriander, clary sage, honey and vanilla, among the highlights.
