Did you know…?
• The skin is the largest organ in the body .
• The sun is a natural antidepressant that improves our levels of vitamin D and Serotonin .
Given these two statements, a question arises.
Can we sunbathe every day?
The answer is yes, but the application of a sunscreen is essential to protect our skin from UV rays that damage it, not only to prevent any skin disease but also to protect us from premature aging and the appearance of spots.
We want you to enjoy the sun to the fullest and without fear of being a beauty lover, so here are some tips that we hope will help you.
1. Cover your body with accessories such as umbrellas, caps or hats, sunglasses, and t-shirts.
2. Use broad-spectrum sunscreens, make sure that it not only blocks UVB rays that affect the outer layer of the skin, it must also protect from UVA rays that penetrate the deeper layers.
3. It is important to spread the sun cream generously, do not skimp, most people apply an insufficient amount.
4. Remember not to exceed two hours of exposure without reapplying sunscreen.
5. Do not forget the ears, lips, neck, eye contour, feet and hands.
6. Seek shade during the hours of maximum sun intensity, when radiation is most dangerous (between 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
7. It is necessary to apply sunscreen every day of the year because radiation persists regardless of the presence of the sun. Choose the protector that best suits each type of situation, since spending a day at the beach is not the same as taking a walk on a winter day.
8. The skin of children and babies is much more sensitive and vulnerable. Protect them well!
9. A protection factor +30 or higher ensures correct protection and its effectiveness is more lasting over time as we increase the SPF number.
10. After showering and prolonged sun exposure, always use after sun to soothe the skin and keep it well hydrated.
