What is baking in makeup?

The term " baking " has nothing to do with cooking, but it does involve "cooking" your makeup to achieve a perfect finish. This technique involves applying a generous layer of translucent loose powder to certain areas of the face—such as the T-zone, dark circles, or eye contour—and letting it set for a few minutes.

During this time, your skin's natural warmth "activates" previously applied liquid or cream products (such as concealer), and powders help set them and absorb excess oil. Then, simply brush off the powder with a soft brush... and voilà ! A smooth, long-lasting, shine-free finish.

2. Apply your foundation and concealer as usual.
3. Using a damp sponge or brush, apply a generous layer of translucent loose powder to the desired areas.
4. Wait 5-10 minutes while the product “melts” into your skin.
5. Remove excess with a soft brush using circular movements.
6. Finish your makeup as usual (bronzer, highlighter, lipstick…).
