Step 1. Hair must be clean, dry and tangle-free before using the iron. Rest the iron with the chosen accessory on the supplied heating mat to avoid heating or burning its surface.

Step 2. Hold down the power button to turn the iron on or off. Press and hold briefly to increase or decrease the heat. The lights will flash when the appliance reaches the desired temperature. For healthier styling, we recommend that you use the temperature of 180°C/360°F. The lights will flash until the desired temperature is reached.

Step 3. Divide the hair into sections with the holding clips. Smaller sections will create more defined waves and curls. Liberally spray each section with a heat protectant, like our Mermaid Mist. Be careful not to touch the scalp with the tool. Hold the iron for 2 to 5 seconds. If hair is easy to curl, or if you want less defined waves or curls, hold the tool for less time.

Step 4. For the curling iron, wrap the hair around the barrel. Wear a glove on the hand you wrap your hair with to protect your hand from the heat. For the waver, pin each section of hair and re-pin at each wave bend as you go down.

Step 5. Once you've finished waving or curling, make sure the hair has completely cooled before touching it so it has time to set. For a beachy look, brush the waves or curls out. To finish, spray on a little more Mermaid Mist for hold and shine, or a flexible spray for more hold.

Step 6. To power off, press and hold the power button until the light turns off. For your safety, the tool will automatically shut down after 60 minutes. Let it cool completely before storing it. Be sure to clean the tool after use to prevent the product from getting dirty.
