Clarins, the history of the brand

The history of the Clarins brand dates back to 1954, when the Frenchman Jacques Courtin-Clarins decided to enter the world of beauty by creating, manufacturing and selling perfumes in a small 9-square-meter store in Paris. Nothing suggested that, with a lot of effort and dedication, decades later it would become one of the most prestigious cosmetic firms in the world.

Already in the 80s, Clarins consolidated itself as a beauty company, expanding internationally, listing on the stock market and continuing its research in the field of plants and respect for the environment. Jacques Courtin and his son, Christian, heir to the brand, were pioneers in raising public awareness about the effects of pollution on the skin and the use of plants for cosmetics . His motto: "Plants offer us everything we need."

Clarins cosmetics is characterized by the use of natural products : treatments based on plant concentrates, thus being able to eliminate active ingredients of animal origin (a practice that was definitively abandoned in 1991). What is becoming more and more common in any cosmetic firm, Clarins could already foresee decades ago.

The Clarins group has grown spectacularly, positioning itself as the European leader in high-end beauty treatments. Since 1996, it has been established in our country, where it markets the entire range. Treatments for all skin types and times of the year, as well as different stages, ages and stages of the woman's life, such as products for pregnant women. But it doesn't just take women into account. Its cosmetics for men ( Clarins Men line) are increasingly successful, with treatments that meet the specific needs of your skin.
