These citrus essences give the fragrances a sparkling, energizing and very pleasant touch.
The essential oils of citrus fruits are usually extracted from their skin, as is the case of lemon , orange (bitter or sweet) and mandarin , sweeter than the previous ones, although equally citrusy.
Grapefruit , whose use began recently, is also widely used as a fruity ingredient in perfumes.
Bergamot is possibly the most unknown citrus fruit and, in turn, the most widely used. It has a sweet touch and a shape similar to a pear, and it gets its name because it is produced mainly in the city of Bergamo, Italy.
Lime is the natural variety of lemon. Common in masculine fragrances and fresh colognes, due to its refreshing and antiperspirant character.
Citrus in perfumes have the property of providing energy and vitality to whoever wears them. For this reason, they usually fit in with vital, optimistic and active people, who prefer light scents to more intense and sweet ones.
Citrus fragrances are usually associated with the warmer seasons (spring-summer), although, due to their lightness and freshness, they are pleasant throughout the year.
