Science, technology and natural cosmetics

The reality is that natural cosmetics is booming, the consumer is now much more demanding and consistent with the products they apply. It is evident that there is a change in consumption habits that is given by the growing concern of society for the environment and sustainability.

It is necessary to know that the definition of natural cosmetics simply tells us what contains natural ingredients. But, we must learn to read the INCI (International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients) label correctly to recognize which ingredients are included in the formulation of a product, in what amounts and where they come from.

The term natural cosmetics does not imply that 100% of the ingredients are natural, nor is it synonymous with sustainable , because we cannot know if the production process was sustainable or not without knowing how much energy and resources were needed. While, in a laboratory, the necessary resources are reduced, allowing greater control during the formulation of synthetic ingredients that are capable of enhancing the effectiveness of the natural ingredient from which it is obtained. For this reason, science and advanced technology are capable of creating ingredients synthesized in a laboratory in a controlled manner, as a more sustainable alternative with the planet.
