Hair should be clean, dry and tangle-free before use. Place the iron on a smooth, heat-resistant flat surface and plug it in. Press and hold the ON/OFF button until the unit turns on and the power indicator lights up. Adjust the temperature by clicking the button to reach the desired heat. Continue clicking to raise and lower the temperature. For a healthier hairstyle, we suggest using a temperature of 180°C/360°F.
The key to achieving lush, long-lasting waves is to prepare your hair correctly. You want to inject your hair with a heat protectant and contour spray, which will protect your strands from heat and give your hair extra hold.
Start by dividing your hair into sections with our Grip Clips. Smaller sections will create more defined waves. Taking one section at a time, start at the top near the roots and pin the hair, making sure the hair is placed evenly inside the barrels. Be careful not to touch the scalp with the tool. Hold for 2 seconds. Once you have released the first clamp, re-clamp the top barrel of the wave on the last curve of the wave. You want to layer each wave with your curling iron to create a perfect wave from roots to ends. Repeat this process all the way to the ends of your head.
Once you're done curling, make sure the hair has cooled completely before touching it to give it time to set. For an effortless beachy wave, brush the wave with our Mermade brush or comb it through. Finish by using an additional spray of flexible and workable spray or hairspray for added hold.
To turn off, press and hold the power button until the indicator light turns off. For your safety, the tool will automatically turn off after 60 minutes. Allow tool to cool completely before storing. Be sure to clean the tool after use to prevent product buildup on the tool.
