More than a fragrance, Lancôme has made a whole manifesto about true happiness.
In a world dominated by ties and conventions, Lancôme proposes that women break away from it and free themselves in order to achieve happiness. Happiness is in the freedom to choose our own path, our own happiness.
It took 3 years of work and 5,521 versions for the three master perfumers Olivier Polge, Dominique Ropion and Anne Flipo to come up with the perfect formula.
La vie est belle is a resounding but simple statement, like life itself. Therefore, the composition of this perfume is based on simplicity . La vie est belle is made up of only 63 ingredients (they seem like a lot, but they are actually few compared to other fragrances), of which almost half are natural. Perfumery's most precious raw materials in perfect balance:
- The Iris Pallida from Florence : one of the most precious and scarce ingredients in perfumery, it is the base of this perfume, extending from the heart to the last note, providing an elegant and seductive character to the fragrance.
- The Orange Blossom of Tunisia and the Sambac Jasmine : light and femininity.
- Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Praline, Currant and Pear : the appetizing and sweet side. The smile. The sweet innocence.
- Indonesian Patchouli Essence : in its purest essence, "the heart", adding depth and strength.
This perfume is so special that even its bottle has its own name: " Le Sourire de Cristal " (the glass smile), a design created by Georges Delhomme in 1949 for Lancôme perfumes . Now, 63 years later, that design has been rescued and adapted for La vie est belle .
The container symbolizes the aura of the woman. The curve of the crystal is reminiscent of a smile and, on its neck, a gray organza scarf symbolizes the wings of freedom. Femininity and happiness in a jar.
And who better to embody happiness than the most charismatic smile in cinema?
Julia Roberts, the image of other products of the firm, has been chosen as the ambassador of this perfume.
For the femininity she exudes, for the freedom with which she has always led her career and for that broad, contagious, bright and sincere smile.
The ad has been directed by Tarsem Singh , who has managed to create an atmosphere of visual purity, playing with light and shadow, with the symbolism of contrasts at the service of the fragrance philosophy.
La vie est belle : more than a perfume, a vision of life.
Break with conventions and ties and enjoy the freedom to choose your own happiness. Lancôme tells you and at Perfumes Club we join this statement.
